Associazione Calcio Milan Icon Carlo Ancelotti was born in Reggiolo on 10th June 1959. In a playing career which spanned 15 years from 1976 to 1991, Ancelotti made 338 appearances and scored 35 goals. He scored on his Italy debut against Holland In January 1981 and went on to make a further 26 appearances for his country. During his time with Real Madrid, Ancelotti’s team lifted the Copa del Rey in 2014. the UEFA Champions League in 2014, won the UEFA Super Cup in 2014. the FIFA Club World Cup in 2014 and finished runners-up in the Liga BBVA in 2015.
Ancelotti began his career at Parrna Football Club In 1976/77, making a total of 55 league appearances and scoring 13 goals for the club. Alter leaving Parma FC in 1979. Ancelottl moved to AS Roma, going on to make 171 appearances. During his time with AS Roma. Ancelotti's team lifted the Serle A TiM In 1981 and 1983 and the TiM Cup 4 times between 1980 and 1986.
He finally decided to hang up his boots at the age of 31 In 1991 after four years playing for AC Milan, but there was no intention to leave the game he loved. During his time with AC Milan, Ancelotti's team lifted the Serie A TiM in 1988, the Intercontinental Cup in 1989 and 1990, won the UEFA Champions League in 1989 and 1990. the UEFA Super Cup in 1989 and 1990 and the Supercoppa TiM in 1989.
Ancelotti's first non-playing role was as ltaly's assistant manager, a position he held from July 1992 until June 1995. Between July 1995 and June 2001, Ancelotti also had brief spells with Associazione Calcio Regglana 1919, Parma Football Club and Juventus Football Club Torino.
After leaving Juventus, Ancelotti enjoyed an eight year spell at AC Milan. During his time with AC Milan, Ancelotti’s team lifted the Serle A TiM in 2004, the FIFA Club World Cup in 2007, won the UEFA Champions League in 2003 and 2007, the UEFA Super Cup in 2003 and 2007. the TIM Cup In 2003 and the Supercoppa TIM in 2004.
Ancelotti's next role as manager at FC Bayern beginning in July 2016.
Between June 2009 and May 2015, Ancelotti also had brief spells with Chelsea FC, Paris Saint-Germain Football Club and Real Madrid Club de Futbol. During his time with Chelsea, Ancelotti's team lifted the Barclays Premier League in 2010, the FA Cup in 2010 and won the FA Community Shield in 2009.
Ancelotti has also earned recognition from the footballlng community for his achievements : Named Serie A Manager of the Year on two occasions, Ligue 1 Manager of the Season and Spanish Manager of the Year runner-up.
