FC Bayem Munchen legend Oliver Kahn was born In Karlsruhe on 15th June 1969. In a playing career which spanned 33 years from 1975 to 2008, Kahn made 557 appearances. He made his Germany debut against Switzerland In June 1995 and went on to make 86 appearances for his country. 

Oliver Kahn started his career at Karlsruher SC In July1975, breaking Into the first-team In 1987 and making a total of 128 league appearances. Kahn was to finish his playing career at Bayern at the age of 39, making 429 appearances for the Bayern and scoring 0 goals between July1994 and June 2008. During his time with FC Bayern Munchen and Germany, Kahn’s team lifted the Bundesliga In 1997,1999,2000,2001, 2003, 2005, 2006 and 2008, the German League Cup 6 times between 1997 and 2007. won the UEFA European Championship in 1996, the Intercontinental Cup in 2001, the UEFA Champions League in 2001, the UEFA Europa League in 1996 and the DFB-Pokal 6 times between 1998 and 2008.

Kahn has been recognised for his talent and achievements with several awards: Won the German Players’ Player of the Year, German Footballer of the Year on two occasions, FIFA Ballon d’Or third place on two occasions, won the World Cup Best Player and World Cup Best Goalkeeper.
