Andriy Shevchenko Biography

FC Dynamo Kyiv legend Shevchenko Andriy Mykolayovych was born in Dvirkivschyna on 29th September 1976. In a playing career which spanned 20 years from 1992 to 2012. Shevchenko made 444 appearances and scored 221 goals. After making his Ukraine debut against Croatia In March 1995, he went on to make 111 appearances and score 48 goals for his country. Shevchenko spells with Associazione Calcio Milan, Chelsea FC and FC Dynamo Kyiv.

Andriy Shevchenko started his career at FC Dynamo Kyiv in 1992/93, breaking into the first-team In 1994 and making a total of 118 league appearances and scoring 60 goals for the club. During his time with Dynamo Kyiv, Shevchenko’s team lifted the CIS Champions Cup in 1996,1997 and 1998, the Prem'er-Liha 5 times in a row between 1995 and 1999 and won the Kubok Ukrainy 3 times between 1996 and 1999. In 1999/00 he joined Associazione Calcio Milan for €22.5M and made 207 league appearances and scored 129 goals. During his time with AC Milan. Shevchenko's team lifted the Serie A TIM In 2004. the UEFA Champions League In 2003. won the UEFA Super Cup In 2003. the TIM Cup In 2003 and the Supercoppa TIM In 2004. 

In May 2006 he Joined Chelsea FC for €45M and made 47 league appearances and scored 9 goals. During this time he also spent time on loan at Associazione Calcio Milan, making 18 league appearances. Shevchenko’s Chelsea team lifted the Capital One Cup In 2007. In 2009/10 he rejoined FC Dynamo Kyiv and made 54 league appearances end scored 23 goals.

Shevchenko has built up a phenomenal record of 17 competIiion wins throughout his career Serie A TIM (AC Milan 2004). CIS ChampIons Cup (Dynamo Kyiv 1996.1997 and 1998), UEFA Champions League (AC Milan 2003). UEFA Super Cup (AC Milan 2003). TiM Cup (AC Milan 2003). Supercoppa TIM (AC MIlan 2004). Capital One Cup (Chelsea 2007). Prem’er-Liha (Dynamo Kyiv 1995,1996,1997,1998 and 1999) and Kubok Ukrainy (Dynamo Kyiv 1996.1998 and 1999). 

Shevchenko has also earned recognition from the footballlng community for his achievements: Won the European Champions Cup Golden Boot. FIFA Ballon dOr, World Player of the Year third place on three occasions, named Serie A Top Goalscorer on two occasions. European Golden Shoe third place and Italian Media Foreign Player of the Year third place on two occasions.
